Douglas ClaytonChief Executive OfficerShow Biofounded Leopard Capital in 2007, and has over 26 years experience in emerging markets investments. As a senior executive at CLSA Securities, Indosuez WI Carr Securities, and Kerry Securities, he managed investment teams in Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, New York City, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, and Chile. In 1999 Douglas founded Abacus Equity Partners which arranged and participated in several of Thailand’s most successful private equity investments. He serves as Technical Advisor to the Director-General of the Securities & Exchange Commission of Cambodia, and Trustee of the Center for Khmer Studies. Douglas holds an MM from Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University and a BA (History) from Cornell University. |
Thomas HuggerChief Financial OfficerShow Biospent 27 years in private banking, where he specialized in managing portfolios of listed and unlisted equity investments. His most recent position was Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Management at LGT Bank, Hong Kong. Earlier he held investment positions at LGT Bank in Zurich and Bank Julius Baer in Zurich and Hong Kong. Mr. Hugger is a CFIA – (Federal) Certified Financial Analyst and Investment Adviser – in Switzerland, and a Certified EFFAS (European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies) Financial Analyst. He is fluent in English and German and has working knowledge of French. |
Joseph LovellGroup COO & General CounselShow Biohas more than two decades of Asia-focused business, investment, and legal experience. Prior to joining Leopard Capital, he served, among other roles, as Managing Director and General Counsel for a financial group with offices in New York and Beijing, Corporate Counsel for an AIM-listed private equity firm, senior consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Managing Attorney at a Honolulu law firm, and board member for a number of companies and not-for-profit entities. His expertise includes private equity investment, corporate law, and business management. He is licensed to practice law in New York, Texas, and Hawaii. Joseph has a BS degree from Georgetown University (Chinese Language), and MA (Asian Studies) and JD degrees from the University of Hawaii. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and has a working knowledge of Thai, Min Nan, and French. |

Reshma AlvaESG OfficerShow Biohas over eight years of work experience in maximizing social impact. Reshma has worked in a variety of roles, including consultant, strategic planner, program manager, financier, and fundraiser in organizations focused on social finance, social services, governance, and capacity building. She earned a BA from the University of Michigan, an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, and an MPA from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Gregory LindaeBusiness Development ConsultantShow Biohas over 20 years experience in capital markets. For the past 3 years, Mr. Lindae has worked as strategic consultant to Kendall Investments regarding their PE Fund of Funds construction for their 2009/10 vintage Secondary Market Fund. Additionally, 2003 to 2010 he was the Portfolio Manager and founder of an RIA (Sapient Asset Advisors, LLC), an Alternative Investment Fund of Funds, whose mandate loosely followed the University Endowment philosophy. From 1994 through 2003, he was the Managing Principal and founder of Castlerock Capital Ventures, whose investments in early stage VC during this period resulted in a 53% IRR and a D/PI realization ratio of 17.78. Prior to this he worked in New York for BlackRock and Salomon Brothers as a Quantitative Analyst on their managed institutional accounts and hedge fund products. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California and expecting to complete an MBA from the University of Chicago in March 2012. |

Dr. Gordian GaetaShow Biois one of Asia’s leading banking consultants and risk control experts. He has developed strategies and business plans for many of Asia’s leading financial services businesses, capital markets organizations, and stock exchanges, and advised or served close to half of the top 100 banks worldwide. Previously an academic and banker in several countries, Dr. Gaeta started his consulting career with Booz Allen & Hamilton in London. He moved to Hong Kong in the early 1980s to become the strategy advisor to Standard Chartered Bank. In 1991 Dr. Gaeta became Managing Partner for Booz Allen & Hamilton for financial services across Asia. Since leaving Booz Allen in 1998, Dr. Gaeta has been an active private equity investor and a director or advisor to a range of entrepreneurial companies. He continues to advise financial services groups at the Board or CEO level, and also undertakes corporate restructurings. Dr Gaeta has published around 20 articles on banking and financial services and several books, notably “Frontiers in Credit Risk”. Terry MahonyShow Biohas over 40 years of professional experience in investment management and financial services. After 20 years in Institutional Sales at White Weld and Paine Webber in Geneva , Hong Kong, and New York (1970-1990), Mr. Mahony joined Baring International Investment Management in Boston to serve as Director and Chief Investment Officer of Latin America, where he launched the highly successful Baring Puma Latin America Fund. In 1993 he joined HSBC Asset Management as Chief Investment Officer for Global Emerging Markets and Member of the Global Asset Allocation Committee, and launched HSBC’s first Global Emerging Markets fund. From 1996 to 1999 Mr. Mahony served as Trust Company of the West’s Managing Director for Emerging Markets Equities, Chief Investment Officer of Global Emerging Markets, and President of TCW Asia Ltd., overseeing up to $2.2 billion of assets under management. He spent 6 months pro-tem in Ho Chi Minh City as CIO for the London listed IndoChina Capital Fund. Mr. Mahony currently serves as Chairman of Platinum Advisory International Inc., and is on the board of several UK London listed Investment Trusts. Mr. Mahony holds an MBA (INSEAD) and a BA (Oxford). |

Until recently he was a Senior Partner in the international law firm, Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP, and its Asian Regional Head. He serves as a senior officer in the Singapore Armed Forces, and sits on the Singapore British Business Council and on the boards of various charities. Anthony MoodyShow Biohas forty years experience in the capital markets, investment banking, investment and wealth management industry, all with operating, financial, or fiduciary responsibility. Twenty two years of this experience has been in Asia, the majority managing the capital markets and wealth management businesses of Continental Bank and its acquirer Bank of America. He is Executive Chairman for Asia of the Sindicatum Carbon Capital Group, a sustainable natural resources company that produces clean energy and environmental commodities through the reduction of carbon emissions. Prior to his role with Sindicatum Anthony was CEO for Asia of Zurich Scudder Investments, the asset management arm of Zurich Financial Services, a member of the firm’s Global Management Committee, and Chairman of Scudder Investments Japan. Anthony is a Director of The Komodo Fund (Indonesian listed equities) and Pandaw Investment Holdings (private equity in Myanmar) and is an active investor in private equity. On a ‘pro bono’ basis he actively supports the promotion of higher standards of corporate governance and sustainable responsible investment, and microfinance. He holds a BA Degree in Economics from the University of Wales. |
